  • The email address on your Tara account
  • Which child profile it concerns, if relevant
  • What happened, and when
  • What outcome you are looking for

What happens next

  1. Within 48 hours — we acknowledge your complaint and give you a reference number.
  2. Within 15 days — we tell you what we have found, or what we still need.
  3. Within 30 days — we resolve the complaint and confirm the outcome in writing.

Child safety concerns

Anything suggesting a risk to a child is escalated the same working day. Mark your message CHILD SAFETY in the subject line.

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact Childline India on 1098 or the police on 112 first. We are not an emergency service.

If we do not resolve it

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act, 2023. We will give you the reference details you need.
