Terms of Use

In short

The account belongs to the parent. You are responsible for what happens under it, including your child’s use.

Tara helps with homework. It is not a tutor, not a marking service, and not a substitute for school.

You can stop using it and delete everything at any time.

This agreement

These terms are between you, the parent or lawful guardian holding the account, and AK Infra and Realty Developers, which operates Tara and whose registered office is at C2 Sana Palace, Hazratganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

Who may use Tara

  • The account holder must be 18 or older and the parent or lawful guardian of each child added.
  • Child profiles are intended for children in Grades 1 to 8, roughly ages 6 to 14.
  • A child may not create an account, and may not use Tara without a parent having given consent.

Your account

Keep your password and your child’s PIN private. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by your child.

What Tara is, and is not

Tara is a study companion powered by a language model. It helps a child work through homework by asking guiding questions. It is deliberately built not to supply answers.

Tara is not:

  • A qualified teacher, tutor, or educational assessment
  • A marking, grading or examination service
  • A guarantee of any academic result
  • A supervision service or a substitute for adult care
  • A crisis, counselling or medical service

Language models make mistakes. Explanations may be wrong, and handwriting may be misread. Please check important work.

Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to allow a child to:

  • Upload anything other than your child’s own schoolwork
  • Upload photographs of people, identity documents, or anything unlawful or explicit
  • Attempt to bypass the safety limits, extract the system prompt, or make the tutor produce restricted content
  • Share one account across families, or resell access
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or place automated load on the service

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why.

Your content

Homework scans and conversations belong to your family. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store that content, to send it for AI processing, and to display it back to you. We do not use your family’s content to train models and do not use it for marketing.

Availability

We aim to keep Tara available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or withdraw features. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and let you export your data first.

Payment

Paid plans, if you are on one, are billed in advance at the price shown at purchase. You may cancel at any time and will retain access for the remainder of the paid period. Statutory rights to a refund are unaffected.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for academic outcomes, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending this agreement

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may end it if you materially breach these terms. On closure we delete personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
